Role & responsibilities

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of materials, components, and finished products.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Inspect components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, check sheets, and inspection documentation.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformities in materials, components, and finished products.
- Coordinate with the production team to identify the root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor quality during the manufacturing process and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with the purchase team for incoming material and vendor quality issues.
- Support vendor quality evaluation and supplier development activities.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate internally for root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct first-piece inspection and final inspection wherever required.
- Maintain proper traceability of inspection records and quality documentation.




- Ensure calibration status of measuring and inspection equipment is maintained.
- Support internal quality audits and compliance activities.
- Work closely with design, production, purchase, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Suggest improvements to reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
- Ensure quality procedures and processes are followed consistently on the shop floor.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 3.5 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, or sheet metal, depending on the companys requirements.
- Experience in mechanical manufacturing / engineering projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience in handling customer and vendor quality issues.
