We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance, inspection, testing, documentation, and commissioning activities across MEP, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, and Welding works. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of inspection procedures, quality standards, engineering drawings, and project documentation while ensuring compliance with client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

MEP Quality Inspection

- Prepare Method Statements, Inspection Checklists, Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and quality documentation.
- Perform material inspections as per approved Technical Data Sheets (TDS), specifications, and client requirements.
- Conduct work inspections as per approved engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Prepare inspection reports and obtain approvals from clients and consultants.
- Coordinate vendor inspections for major equipment and support commissioning and project handover activities.

HVAC Quality Inspection

- Inspect installation of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and chemical dosing systems.
- Verify installation of AHUs, FCUs, and CSUs.
- Inspect chilled water and condenser water piping systems.
- Inspect GI sheet ducts, PIR ducting, insulation works, and acoustic & thermal insulation.
- Inspect dampers, grills, diffusers, ventilation systems, jet fans, axial fans, and cabinet fans.
- Verify installation of electrical panels, cable trays, earthing strips, and power cables.
- Witness duct leakage tests, smoke tests, pressure tests, hydro tests, testing, and commissioning activities.

Fire Fighting Systems

- Inspect installation of hydrant and sprinkler piping systems.
- Conduct welding inspections and hydrostatic testing.
- Inspect pumps, valves, strainers, supports, fittings, and accessories.




- Verify installation of Fire Hose Cabinets (FHC) and sprinkler systems.
- Monitor testing, flushing, commissioning, and final acceptance activities.

Plumbing Inspection

- Inspect installation of UPVC, CPVC, GI, and CI piping systems.
- Verify installation of fittings, elbows, joints, supports, traps, and accessories.
- Conduct gravity tests, slope tests, hydro tests, and leakage inspections.
- Inspect pump room installations and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.

Electrical Quality Inspection

- Inspect installation of transformers, LT panels, cable trays, cables, and earthing systems.
- Conduct insulation resistance (Megger), high-voltage, continuity, and functional testing.
- Verify earthing systems for electrical equipment.
- Support testing and commissioning of electrical installations.

Welding & NDT Inspection

- Inspect fabrication and erection of pressure pipelines and structural components.
- Monitor welding activities including SMAW, SAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes.
- Prepare and review WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation.
- Conduct and witness NDT activities including:

- Visual Inspection (VT)

- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Review welding quality, fabrication procedures, and compliance with approved standards.
- Inspect coating and painting thickness using DFT gauges.
- Ensure compliance with IS Codes, AWS, ASME, and ASTM standards.





Structural Inspection (MMS & PEB)

- Inspect fabrication and erection of steel structures including ISHB, ISMB, ISMC, ISA sections, columns, rafters, purlins, and fasteners.
- Inspect Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures and Module Mounting Structures (MMS).
- Verify fabrication quality, welding, dimensional accuracy, and painting inspections.
- Conduct vendor inspections at fabrication yards and workshops.
- Review drawings and support implementation using AutoCAD.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, quality records, and documentation.
- Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), calibration certificates, and quality records.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Method Statements, and project procedures.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and vendors for inspection approvals.
- Maintain accurate documentation for testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.Tech (Mechanical) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Inspection, or QA/QC.
- Experience in Semiconductor, FMCG, Solar Cell Manufacturing, Industrial Construction, or EPC Projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Electrical, Welding, NDT, and Structural inspections.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with QAP, ITP, WPS, PQR, WPQ, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
- Valuable understanding of IS Codes, ASME, ASTM, AWS, and other relevant engineering standards.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
