Role Overview

We are looking for a rigorous, quality-focused QC Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Control function. The ideal candidate will oversee incoming component inspections, precision dimensional layouts, and in-process assembly quality checks for our custom automated printing machinery to ensure our equipment meets international reliability benchmarks prior to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incoming & Precision Dimensional Quality Control

- Perform exact vertical height, step, and flat surface measurements using digital height gauges on granite surface plates to verify critical component dimensions against 2D/3D engineering drawings.
- Inspect precision machined parts (CNC milled/turned parts, frames, fixtures, gear assemblies) to ensure strict compliance with GD&T; tolerances.
- Evaluate and benchmark vendor component quality; work with Purchase and Design teams to audit suppliers.
- Establish and manage inspection standards for bought-out components (pneumatics, PLCs, motors, indexers, bearings, electronics) and raw materials.

2. In-Process & Sub-Assembly Inspection

- Conduct inline quality checks during machine sub-assembly, frame structure alignment, drive mechanics, and pneumatic/electrical panel wiring.
- Use height gauges equipped with dial indicators to verify surface flatness, parallelism, and axis alignment across sub-assemblies.
- Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assembly tolerances during machine building.
- Implement non-conformance logging (NC management),



Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent reoccurring assembly issues.

3. Quality Systems & Metrology Instrument Management

- Manage and maintain the calibration, zeroing, and upkeep of shop floor inspection instruments, including height gauges, micrometers, verniers, and dial gauges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Maintain ISO Quality Management System (QMS) standards, inspection records, and calibration schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering.
- Experience: 8 to 12+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Control within Special Purpose Machinery (SPM), industrial machinery manufacturing, printing machinery, or precision capital equipment manufacturing.
- Technical & Metrology Skills:
- Expertise in operating precision metrology equipment, specifically vernier/digital height gauges, granite surface plates, dial test indicators (DTI), micrometers, and profile projectors.
- Proficient in reading complex engineering 2D/3D assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong familiarity with mechanical drives, pneumatics (Festo/SMC), PLC/Electrical controls, and high-speed rotary mechanisms.
- ERP & Systems: Hands-on experience working with ERP systems for quality module tracking and material acceptance.
