Quality cum Operations Head

Job Summary

Lead the Quality and Operations functions to ensure world-class manufacturing, compliance with IATF 16949, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and achievement of quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for automotive locksets, switches, and related components.
- Establish and maintain compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and quality management systems.
- Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure achievement of production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety (PQCDS) targets.
- Lead customer quality management, supplier quality, internal quality, audits, CAPA, and problem-solving using 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Optimize productivity, reduce rejection, rework, and manufacturing costs, and improve OEE.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Purchase, Engineering, Maintenance, and Sales for seamless operations.
- Lead customer, certification,



and internal audits while ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
- Develop and mentor cross-functional teams to build a high-performance, quality-driven culture.
- Prepare operational MIS, quality dashboards, and management review reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 12–18 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, with significant exposure to locksets, switches, or similar precision components.
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma.
- Proven leadership experience in managing both Quality and Manufacturing Operations.
- Robust analytical, decision-making, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

- Customer PPM and complaint reduction.
- Production target and OEE achievement.
- On-time delivery performance.
- First-pass yield and rejection reduction.
- Audit compliance and IATF certification performance.
- Cost reduction, productivity improvement, and team development.
