About the Role

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer / SDET to design, build, and scale our automated testing framework from the ground up. You'll own quality across our React Native mobile apps, Node.js and Go backend services, and Svelte web applications — with the added twist of ensuring rock-solid reliability for our OCPP-based EV charger integrations. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to embed quality into a fast-moving product, not just test after the fact.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategy & Architecture: Design, build, and scale automated testing frameworks from the ground up across our React Native mobile apps, Svelte web apps, and Node.js/Go backend services.
- Execution & Coverage: Write and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated scripts covering UI, API, and integration layers.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites deeply into CI/CD pipelines to enable confident, frequent (daily) deployments.
- IoT / OCPP Quality: Help design and execute test strategies for our CMS/OCPP charger integrations — validating charger-to-cloud communication, transaction flows, and edge cases specific to connected hardware.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers and engineers to define acceptance criteria and review technical designs before code is written.
- Quality Ownership:



Conduct exploratory, regression, and performance/load testing to catch edge cases before users do.
- Mentorship: Champion software quality best practices, helping engineers write more testable, cleaner code.

Experience

- 5+ years of software testing experience, including 3+ years building automated testing frameworks for modern web or mobile applications.

Technical Stack

- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Experience testing React Native mobile apps and Svelte (or similar modern JS framework) web apps.
- Experience testing Node.js and/or Go backend services, including API testing frameworks (RestAssured, Postman/Newman).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Nice to have: Familiarity with IoT systems and the OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) standard, or experience testing hardware/device-integrated systems.
