About the Role

- We are looking for a Python EDI 837 Developer with strong hands-on experience in ANSI X12 EDI 837 (837P/837I) transaction processing. You will build and maintain healthcare claims integration pipelines by developing EDI parsers, generators, and validation logic in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

- The ideal candidate has built or maintained EDI parsers/generators using Python or Java, understands ANSI X12 loops, segments, elements, and TR3 implementation guidelines, and can work with raw EDI files, not just EDI tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain EDI 837 parsers, generators, and validation logic using Python (preferred) or Java.

- Parse, validate, and generate ANSI X12 EDI 837P/837I transaction files.

- Implement loop, segment, and element-level business rules as per TR3 guidelines.

- Process 999 Functional Acknowledgments and 277CA Claim Acknowledgments.

- Build data transformation pipelines between EDI, JSON, XML,



CSV, and databases.

- Handle ISA/GS/ST envelope creation and validation.

- Design and maintain MongoDB data models for healthcare claims.

- Deploy and support solutions on Microsoft Azure.

- Ensure HIPAA compliance and participate in code reviews using Git.

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

- Strong Python development experience (Java acceptable if EDI expertise is solid).

- Hands-on experience with ANSI X12 EDI 837 (837P and/or 837I).

- Experience building or maintaining EDI parsers, generators, or validation logic.

- Strong understanding of EDI loops, segments, elements, qualifiers, and ISA/GS/ST envelopes.

- Experience working with healthcare claims and HIPAA EDI transactions.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
