Role Overview

RUHE is looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end procurement, vendor development, cost negotiation, purchase planning and new product launch documentation for kitchen and bathroom product categories.

The candidate will also be responsible for creating and implementing SOPs for new product launches, covering product specifications, vendor requirements, quality standards, packaging, inspection and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop reliable manufacturers and suppliers across India and overseas.
- Procure faucets, kitchen sinks, sanitaryware, bathroom accessories, packaging materials and product components.
- Prepare purchase plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels and lead times.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices, payment terms, MOQs and delivery schedules.
- Issue and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Analyse product costing and COGS to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Coordinate product sampling, testing, modifications and commercial finalisation.
- Create detailed SOPs for new product launches in coordination with Product Development, Quality, Warehouse and Sales teams.
- Document product specifications, approved samples, quality parameters, rejection criteria, packaging standards and inspection procedures.
- Ensure all departments and vendors follow the approved launch SOP before bulk production and product launch.
- Maintain version control and update SOPs whenever product, packaging or quality requirements change.
- Monitor vendor quality, delivery performance,



rejections and corrective actions.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and prevent stock-outs or excess purchases.
- Develop alternate suppliers for critical products.
- Coordinate import procurement, shipping documents and landed-cost calculations.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor documents, approvals and invoice reconciliation.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain.
- 6–10 years of purchasing, sourcing or product-development procurement experience.
- Experience in sanitaryware, faucets, kitchen sinks, building materials, hardware or home-improvement products preferred.
- Experience in creating procurement, quality, packaging or new product launch SOPs.
- Strong negotiation, vendor-management and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of product costing, COGS and landed-cost calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Word and ERP systems.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits and factory inspections.

Preferred Candidate Profile The candidate should be commercially strong, process-oriented and capable of independently managing vendors, procurement costs, product documentation and new product launch SOPs.
