We are looking for an experienced Vendor Development qualified to strengthen our supplier network and support indigenous manufacturing initiatives.

Job Summary The Vendor Development Engineer will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing, and managing suppliers for electronic, mechanical, RF, microwave, fabricated, machining, PCB, cable harness, and defence-related components. The role requires strong technical understanding, supplier assessment capabilities, cost optimization, and coordination with internal engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new vendors for electronics, RF & Microwave components, mechanical parts, PCB assemblies, fabrication, machining, and cable harnesses.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities based on quality, technical competency, manufacturing capacity, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
- Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and qualification activities.
- Work closely with Design, Production, Quality, and Stores teams to identify sourcing requirements.
- Develop alternate vendors to reduce supply chain risks.
- Handle RFQs, vendor negotiations,



commercial discussions, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure timely procurement and supplier deliveries as per project schedules.
- Monitor vendor performance using Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) parameters.
- Maintain supplier database, evaluation records, and approval documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality team for incoming inspection issues and supplier corrective actions.
- Support localization and Make-in-India initiatives by identifying indigenous suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
