Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Manager/Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for our FMCG operations. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely procurement, maintaining inventory levels, and optimizing purchasing costs while ensuring quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Procure raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other operational requirements.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per company requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to avoid stock shortages.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up on pending orders.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.




- Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple suppliers simultaneously.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in FMCG raw material and packaging procurement.
- Knowledge of inventory planning and demand forecasting.
- Familiarity with GST documentation and purchase-related compliance.
- Strong vendor relationship management skills.
