Role Description The Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities related to printing and packaging materials. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, and ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, and services.

The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production and logistics teams, and maintaining accurate purchase records and reports.

The Purchase

Manager will evaluate vendor performance, manage cost optimization initiatives, ensure compliance with company policies, and support continuous improvement in the supply chain.



This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders to align purchasing decisions with production schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Robust procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in inventory control, material planning, and cost optimization within a manufacturing or printing environment.
- Proficiency in using ERP or purchase management software and MS Office for reporting and data analysis.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced production setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., in procurement or logistics) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar role in printing, packaging, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
