Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager – Engineering & Machinery to manage end-to-end procurement of machinery, engineering spares, electrical & instrumentation items, and other technical materials.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in industrial/manufacturing procurement, vendor development, commercial negotiation, cost reduction, and machinery purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of machinery, production equipment, engineering spares, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and technical items.
- Source and develop reliable OEMs, manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and finalize suppliers.
- Handle complete purchase processes from purchase requisition to purchase order and delivery.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Projects, Stores, and Finance departments to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Procure mechanical items such as bearings, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic/pneumatic components, fabrication items, and other engineering spares.
- Manage procurement of electrical and instrumentation items including motors, drives, panels, cables, switchgear, sensors, transmitters, PLC-related items, and automation components.
- Handle procurement of new machinery, plant equipment, replacement machinery, and project-related purchases.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty, AMC, service support, and other commercial conditions.
- Develop alternate suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and service.
- Maintain proper purchase documentation, vendor records,



purchase orders, and commercial comparisons.
- Ensure procurement is within approved budgets and company policies.
- Support cost reduction, inventory optimization, and reduction of emergency purchases.
- Resolve supplier-related issues concerning price, quality, delivery, warranty, and service.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering/industrial procurement.
- Strong experience in machinery purchase and technical procurement.
- Experience in purchasing engineering spares, electrical and instrumentation items.
- Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of technical specifications and commercial evaluation.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial plant environment preferred.
- Good knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, follow-up, and decision-making skills.

Salary: ₹40k-50k per month / As per experience & skill set Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
