Key Responsibilities

- Lead, develop and inspire the local Procurement and Supply Chain team.

- Establish and continuously enhance a sustainable and strategically focused procurement and

end-to-end supply chain organization.

- Ensure high levels of material availability, delivery reliability and inventory optimization while

meeting customer service targets

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for different kind of direct and

indirect categories, e.g. machined components, castings, machines & equipment, energy,

- Monitor procurement markets, identify and qualify new suppliers, and drive cost optimization

- Take full responsibility for contract management, including supply

agreements, framework contracts, tenders, and supplier quotations.

- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to optimize pricing, quality, and overall supplier

performance.

- Ensure efficient inventory planning, warehouse management and material flow across the

plant

- Coordinate closely with sales, customer service and production teams to ensure reliable

customer deliveries

- Manage local transport logistics, customs clearance, import/export processes, and freight

forwarder management in compliance with local Indian trade regulations

- Identify and realize cost-reduction opportunities and inventory optimization initiatives.

- Ensure supply security, price stability and compliance with required quality standards.

- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders in India and the global

Group organization.





- Direct reporting line to the Managing Director India and dotted reporting line to the Directors

of Corporate Procurement & Supply Chain Management.

Qualifications

- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain

Management, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.

- Several years of proven experience in Supply Chain Management and technical procurement

within a manufacturing environment, ideally in an international and matrix-driven organization.

- Solid understanding of Indian logistics frameworks, customs processes, and warehouse

management best practices

- Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, and building high-performing teams

- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (SAP

knowledge is an advantage)

- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

- Strategic mindset combined with a structured, results-oriented, and accountable working

approach.

- Robust analytical and conceptual skills, high level of initiative, and commitment to quality.

- Excellent teamwork and intercultural communication capabilities.

- Fluent Hindi and English skills, both written and spoken. German is an advantage

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
