Job Summary:

We are looking for a Purchase Executive Buyer (Electrical Maintenance) to manage procurement of electrical maintenance spares, consumables and services for our manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, purchase order management and ensuring timely availability of critical materials.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle end-to-end procurement of electrical maintenance spares, consumables, components and services.
- Source and develop vendors for motors, cables, MCC/PCC components, breakers, contactors, relays, sensors, PLC/DCS components, VFD/AC drives, transformers and electrical accessories.
- Float enquiries, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate price, quality, payment and delivery terms.
- Coordinate with Electrical Maintenance, Stores, Engineering and Finance teams for material requirements.
- Release and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved specifications and commercial terms.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, technical compliance and delivery performance.
- Develop alternate vendors and support cost reduction and material standardization initiatives.




- Maintain procurement records, vendor database, quotations, POs and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs, approval matrix and company policies.
- Monitor critical electrical spares to avoid production downtime due to material unavailability.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and maintenance spares.
- Good vendor development, negotiation and commercial skills.
- Ability to understand technical specifications, BOMs and electrical drawings/material descriptions.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP procurement modules and MS Excel.
- Solid communication, coordination, follow-up and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage urgent and critical plant procurement requirements.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates with experience in Steel, Manufacturing, Process Industry, Engineering or Automotive industries and handling Electrical Maintenance Procurement / Plant Purchase will be preferred.
