Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Assistant to support the procurement of construction materials, equipment, tools and consumables. The candidate will be responsible for vendor coordination, quotation comparison, Purchase Orders, delivery follow-up, documentation and purchase MIS.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and verify specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for approval.
- Assist in preparing and processing Purchase Orders (PO) as per approved requirements.
- Coordinate with existing/new vendors for rates, availability, order confirmation and required documents.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and coordinate with Site and Stores regarding material requirements.
- Maintain records of PRs, quotations, CS, POs, delivery challans and vendor details.
- Coordinate with Site, Stores,



Accounts and Project teams for purchase and invoice-related matters.
- Collect market rates and assist the Purchase Manager in obtaining competitive prices.
- Maintain Pending PR, Pending PO, Delivery and Purchase Status trackers and prepare regular MIS reports.
- Escalate delayed deliveries, material issues and other procurement concerns to the Purchase Manager.

Qualification & Skills
- Graduate/Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in Purchase/Procurement; construction industry experience
- Preferred will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Real Estate / Construction industry.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office and ERP/Purchase Software.
- Good communication, vendor follow-up, coordination and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and work within deadlines.
