We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Project Assistant-cum-Botanist to join our team for a 6-month project operating across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
This hybrid role offers a flexible blend of field exploration, remote research work, and hands-on involvement with plant nurseries.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-field taxonomic surveys and accurately identify native and local plant species.
Contribute to research documentation, literature reviews, and drafting high-quality research papers.
Assist in establishing, managing, and experimenting with nursery setups.
Coordinate field tasks with remote desk research effectively.
Assist in running the operations of our Habitat Restoration Project.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
Education: M.Sc. in Botany or related.
Experience:
Minimum 6 months of experience in plant identification and taxonomy.
Minimum 6 months of experience in writing/drafting research papers.
Key Trait: Strong curiosity and enthusiasm for working with plants and nursery operations.
