About the Role

Mighty Machines is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planner to manage production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and production tracking. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved within the planned timelines while maintaining optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and other resources.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of production planning, BOM, MRP, inventory management, capacity planning, and shop-floor coordination, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Scheduling

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Develop and monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Coordinate with production teams to achieve planned targets.
- Monitor production progress against planned schedules and identify delays.
- Reschedule production plans based on priority changes, machine availability, manpower, or material constraints.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and production resources.

Material Planning & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, and Production teams for timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Prepare material requirements based on production plans and BOM.
- Monitor material shortages and communicate requirements to the concerned departments.




- Track inventory levels and avoid production stoppages due to material shortages.
- Coordinate with stores for material issuance and availability.

Shop-Floor Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, and Engineering teams.
- Monitor job status and production progress on the shop floor.
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action in coordination with relevant departments.
- Follow up on pending jobs, rework, rejections, and delayed activities.
- Ensure production priorities are clearly communicated to the shop-floor team.

MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports and production status updates.
- Maintain production planning and scheduling records.
- Track planned vs. actual production.
- Prepare reports on machine utilization, production efficiency, pending orders, and material shortages.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding production status and critical issues.

Process Improvement
- Identify production bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
- Support initiatives to reduce production lead time and improve productivity.
- Monitor production efficiency and resource utilization.
- Assist management in implementing better planning and scheduling systems.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
- Knowledge of BOM, MRP and capacity planning.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
- Strong Excel skills,



including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP/MRP software will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple production priorities.
- Good communication skills.

Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant manufacturing experience and strong PPC knowledge may also be considered.

Preferred Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Production Planning / PPC / Manufacturing Planning.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, machining, or industrial equipment environment will be preferred.
- Candidates familiar with ERP-based production planning will have an added advantage.
