Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Pharmaceutical Production Manager with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in a finished formulation manufacturing facility. The candidate should have strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing operations, GMP compliance, manpower management, productivity improvement, and product costing.

The candidate must have practical experience in handling multiple dosage forms, including Tablets, Capsules, Oral Liquids/Syrups, Ointments/Creams, and Powders.

A key requirement for this position is the ability to prepare accurate product cost sheets quickly, based on formulation, batch size, raw material consumption, packing material requirements, manufacturing processes, and production overheads.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise complete pharmaceutical production operations for Tablets, Capsules, Oral Liquids, Ointments/Creams, and Powders.
- Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans according to orders and dispatch priorities.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Packing, Maintenance, and Marketing departments for smooth production activities.
- Ensure manufacturing and packing activities are completed according to GMP, SOPs, BMR/BPR, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor batch manufacturing, filling, packing, yields, wastage, reconciliation,



and productivity.
- Ensure timely completion of batches and adherence to committed delivery schedules.
- Troubleshoot production-related issues and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain proper production documentation and ensure timely completion of BMRs, BPRs, logbooks, and related records.
- Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown activities with the Engineering/Maintenance team.
- Control production losses, wastage, rejection, and operational costs.
- Train and supervise production officers, supervisors, operators, and workers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, sanitation, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.

Product Costing & Cost Sheet Responsibilities
- Prepare pharmaceutical product cost sheets quickly and accurately.
- Calculate costing based on API/excipients, batch size, process loss, yield, packing materials, labour, manufacturing expenses, and other applicable costs.
- Calculate per-tablet, per-capsule, per-bottle, per-tube, per-sachet, and per-box manufacturing costs as required.
- Provide costing for new product enquiries and formulations within a short turnaround time.
- Review cost sheets whenever raw material or packing material prices change.




- Work closely with Purchase, Marketing, and Management to provide commercially viable manufacturing costs.
- Identify opportunities for formulation/process optimization and cost reduction without compromising product quality.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical finished formulation production.
- Strong hands-on experience in Tablet, Capsule, Oral Liquid/Syrup, Ointment/Cream, and Powder manufacturing.
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes and equipment.
- Excellent understanding of GMP, WHO-GMP, SOPs, BMR/BPR, documentation, line clearance, validation, and regulatory compliance.
- Must be highly proficient in pharmaceutical product costing and preparation of cost sheets.
- Ability to provide fast and accurate costing for new product requirements.
- Solid production planning and inventory coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of raw materials, excipients, packing materials, yields, wastage, and batch calculations.
- Strong leadership and manpower-handling abilities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office is required.

Qualification B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. / M.Sc. or other relevant pharmaceutical qualification.

Preferred Candidate

Preference will be given to candidates who have independently handled a multi-dosage finished formulation pharmaceutical plant and can manage both production operations and rapid product costing/cost-sheet preparation.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
