Food Manufacturing Plant

Job Summary The Production Head is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on achieving production targets, optimizing resources, reducing costs, and continuously improving manufacturing processes.

The role will lead at team of shift executives, operators, contractual manpower.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Operations

- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Minimize downtime through coordination with the Maintenance Department.
- Ensure smooth shift operations and effective manpower deployment.

Quality & Food Safety

- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve production quality issues.
- Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices throughout the production process.
- Maintain complete production documentation and traceability records.

Team Management

- Lead, train, motivate, and develop production supervisors and operators.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and a positive work culture.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.

Safety & Compliance





- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and safety requirements.
- Promote protected work practices and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Investigate production incidents and implement preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.

Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

- Monitor production costs and reduce waste.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), MTBF & MTTR.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce production losses, rework, and material wastage.

Inventory & Material Management

- Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for raw material availability.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize inventory losses.
- Ensure accurate production reporting and stock reconciliation.

Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare & share daily production reports and KPI dashboards.
- Analyze production data and recommend improvement measures.
- Maintain production records, batch manufacturing records, and shift reports.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience

- 914 years of experience in food manufacturing.

At least 23 years in a Production Leader similar Role & responsibilities.
