About the Internship

We are looking for a curious and research-oriented Product Research & Sourcing Intern who will support ABACK in discovering, evaluating and shortlisting new product opportunities.

The intern will work on the early stages of the product journey:

Idea Discovery → Market Research → Competitor Analysis → Price Comparison → Demand Understanding → Manufacturing Research → Supplier Research → Customization → Product Recommendation

This is not a general digital marketing or social-media internship.

The primary objective of the role is to help us answer:

Which products should ABACK develop, customize, source or manufacture next?

Roles & Responsibilities The intern will be responsible for:

Product Discovery & Research

- Search for new, innovative and trending products in India and international markets.
- Identify products suitable for corporate gifting, employee gifting, client gifting and promotional applications.
- Research innovative electronics, acrylic products and acrylic-electronics combinations.
- Explore products that can potentially be customized or developed under the ABACK brand.
- Identify new product categories and emerging gifting trends.

Competitor & Market Analysis
- Identify competing products,



brands and suppliers.
- Compare product features, specifications and functionality.
- Compare pricing across marketplaces, brand websites and B2B suppliers.
- Study customer ratings and reviews.
- Identify common customer complaints and unmet requirements.
- Understand how competing products are positioned in the market.
- Identify opportunities where ABACK can offer something better or different.

Customer Demand Research
- Identify potential target customers for each product.
- Study corporate gifting use cases.
- Understand whether the product may be suitable for:
- Employee gifting
- Client gifting
- Joining kits
- Festival gifting
- Events
- Awards and recognition
- Promotional campaigns
- Corporate desk products
- Assess whether demand appears low, medium or high.
- Explain clearly why customers may purchase the product.

Product Price Research
- Compare retail and B2B market prices.
- Research approximate sourcing prices where available.
- Compare different suppliers and product variants.
- Understand the possible gap between sourcing price and market selling price.
- Help prepare preliminary commercial-comparison sheets.

Final costing and selling-price decisions will remain with company management. Manufacturing Research For shortlisted products, the intern will research:
- How the product may be manufactured.
- Major materials required.
- Basic manufacturing processes.
- Whether the product can potentially be manufactured in India.
- Possible Indian manufacturers.
- Manufacturing limitations.
- Approximate MOQ where available.
- Custom-development possibilities.

For acrylic-based products, research may include:
- Acrylic thickness
- Laser cutting
- CNC cutting
- Bending
- UV printing
- Laser engraving
- Adhesive/joining methods
- Finishing
- Packaging

For electronics-based products, preliminary research may include:
- Electronic modules
- Charging modules
- LED modules
- Displays
- USB modules

- Power requirements
- Enclosures

The intern will not be expected to perform final electronics engineering or PCB design. Supplier & Vendor Research
- Identify relevant manufacturers, suppliers and OEM vendors.
- Research supplier capabilities.
- Collect publicly available information on:
- MOQ
- Product range
- Location
- Customization
- Manufacturing capability
- Indicative pricing
- Contact information
- Create and maintain an organized supplier database.
- Compare multiple suppliers for shortlisted products.

Customization Research A major part of ABACK is customization. The intern will research whether products can support:
- Company logos
- Employee names
- Personalized messages
- UV printing

Product Improvement & Innovation We do not want the intern to simply copy existing products.

For each robust product idea, the intern should ask:

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain product-research data in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Prepare competitor comparison tables.
- Prepare supplier databases.
- Prepare short product-research presentations.
- Maintain references and research sources.
- Present shortlisted product ideas during weekly review meetings.
- Give a final recommendation for each researched product.

Every researched product should eventually be classified as: Proceed | Validate Further | Hold | Reject
