Product Manager Intern

About the role

We are a small founding team building a cloud-based SaaS platform and looking for a motivated Product Manager Intern to learn and contribute alongside our product lead. This is a hands-on internship. You will work on real product documentation, real workflow analysis, and real functional specifications that directly influence what gets built.

What you will do?

- Analyze software products and document how they work; every screen, every step, every user action, every possible outcome.
- Write functional requirement documents that describe exactly what a feature should do so engineers can build it without needing clarification.
- Map complete user workflows from start to finish; what the user sees, what they click, what happens next, and what happens when something goes wrong.
- Create workflow diagrams and flowcharts that make complex processes easy to understand for both technical and non-technical team members.
- Research how similar products handle specific features and document your findings clearly.
- Write test cases for each feature; what should work, what should not work, and what edge cases need to be checked.
- Identify missing features or workflow gaps and document them with a clear description of the problem and a suggested solution.
- Participate in product discussions and contribute observations about how features could be improved or simplified.

Skills required

- Structured thinking. You can take a complex process and break it down into explicit logical steps. You notice when something is missing or does not make sense.
- Written communication. You can write clearly and precisely.



Someone reading your document should understand exactly what you mean without needing to ask follow-up questions.
- Attention to detail. You notice inconsistencies. You catch edge cases. You read things carefully before accepting them as correct.
- Basic understanding of how software products work. You know what a user flow is, what a requirement document looks like, and what the difference between a feature and a bug is.
- Familiarity with documentation tools. Google Docs, Notion, or similar. You can create structured documents, diagrams, and organised notes.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed any degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Nice to have

- Any exposure to product management concepts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Experience using or studying any software product deeply enough to explain how it works end to end.
- Familiarity with flowchart or diagram tools such as Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, or draw.io.
- A portfolio, Notion page, or document showing how you have analysed or documented something even informally.
- Participated in a case competition, product hackathon, or similar event.
