The Product Context
Our tech stack is Shopify at its core, extended with a constellation of best-in-class third-party integrations — CRM, WMS, loyalty, and beyond. On top of this, we run a native mobile app built in partnership with Appbrew. As we scale, the surface area of product decisions is expanding fast: how customers discover us, how orders flow through our operations, how retention is engineered, and how the app experience keeps improving.
You will be the person who holds this entire product landscape together — managing vendors, owning the roadmap, and ensuring every touchpoint is working harder for both the customer and the business.
What We're Looking For
- A systems thinker who can hold a complex, integrated tech ecosystem in their head and spot where things are breaking, slowing down, or could work better.
- Deep comfort with Shopify — you understand how apps, themes, and APIs interact, and you know the boundaries of what's native versus what needs a third-party or custom solution.
- Experience managing or coordinating with external tech vendors and development partners (like Appbrew or similar app-building platforms) to deliver product improvements.
- Strong data instincts — you are comfortable pulling meaning out of Google Analytics, Klarity, and other tools to identify drop-off points, UX friction, and growth opportunities.
- Consumer research chops — you know how to talk to customers, run surveys, interpret qualitative feedback, and translate it into product decisions.
- Structured roadmap thinking: ability to prioritise across competing requests from marketing, operations, and leadership, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
- Bias for ownership — you treat the product like it's your own business and don't wait to be told what needs fixing.
- Clear, crisp communication — written and verbal — with both technical partners and nontechnical stakeholders.
What You'll Own
1. Tech Stack & Vendor Management
• Own the day-to-day health of Salty's entire Shopify ecosystem — core store, integrated apps, and third-party tools (CRM, WMS, loyalty, and others).
- Be the primary point of contact with Appbrew for our mobile app — driving feature development, managing timelines, and QA-ing releases.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage recent third-party solutions as business needs evolve; ensure integrations don't create technical debt or data fragmentation.
- Maintain a clear map of how all systems connect and proactively flag single points of failure or inefficiencies.
1. Roadmap & Prioritisation
• Build and maintain the product roadmap across the website, app, and internal tooling — balancing quick wins with long-term capability building.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and leadership to gather requirements, align on priorities, and communicate timelines.
- Write clear product briefs and specs that external developers and vendors can execute against without hand-holding.
- Run sprint reviews and track delivery against commitments.
1. Data & Consumer Research
• Own the data feedback loop: regularly study Google Analytics, Klarity, and other sources to surface drop-off points, friction in the funnel, and conversion improvement opportunities.
- Run structured consumer research — user interviews, surveys, usability sessions — to understand the customer's relationship with our product and app experience.
- Translate insights from data and research into actionable hypotheses, A/B tests, or product changes.
- Build dashboards or reporting rhythms so that product health metrics are visible to the broader team
Requirements
- 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably in D2C e-commerce or a consumer tech product.
- Hands-on familiarity with Shopify — you've worked on or managed a Shopify store before.
- Experience coordinating with external development teams or app vendors to ship features.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and CRM/marketing tools like Klaviyo.
- Strong written communication — you can write a PRD, a brief, or a stakeholder update that doesn't require a follow-up call.
- This is a work-from-office role — you must be willing to commute to Okhla, Delhi.
Good to Have
- Experience with mobile app product management.
- Familiarity with WMS or OMS tools used in D2C fulfilment.
- Basic SQL or data querying ability — enough to pull your own numbers when needed.
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup where processes were still being built.
