Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager – Cost Engineering to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Cost Engineering product module. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in B2B SaaS Product Management , Discrete Manufacturing , Cost Engineering , Procurement , and Engineering workflows .

The ideal candidate will work closely with customers, engineering, design, sales, and leadership teams to build innovative solutions that enable manufacturers to optimize product costs, improve sourcing decisions, and enhance collaboration between procurement and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Own and drive the product roadmap for the Cost Engineering module.
- Prioritize features based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Balance short-term customer requirements with long-term platform scalability.
- Define product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives.

Customer Discovery
- Conduct customer interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions.
- Understand manufacturing workflows, sourcing challenges, and cost engineering requirements.
- Convert customer feedback into detailed product requirements and user stories.
- Act as the voice of the customer across internal teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering, UI/UX, QA, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.




- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality product releases.
- Support go-to-market initiatives and product launches.
- Facilitate collaboration between procurement and engineering stakeholders.

Product Execution
- Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, and product prioritization.
- Define product KPIs and success metrics.
- Monitor product performance and continuously improve customer experience.
- Communicate product updates, priorities, and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Product Innovation
- Identify opportunities to expand Cost Engineering capabilities.
- Drive new feature development, integrations, and AI-powered enhancements.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in discrete manufacturing.

Required Experience

- Experience working with engineering and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Agile product development.
- Experience in customer-facing product discovery activities.
- Startup or high-growth product company experience is preferred.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
