Position: Principal – Victory College of Nursing

Position Summary

Victory College of Nursing invites applications from experienced and dynamic professionals for the position of Principal. The Principal will provide academic leadership, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, oversee administration, promote quality education, and support the overall growth and development of the institution.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership

- Provide strategic leadership for academic planning and implementation.
- Ensure effective curriculum delivery in accordance with the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), and other regulatory authorities.
- Monitor teaching quality, student performance, and academic outcomes.
- Promote research, innovation, and faculty development initiatives.

Administration
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the college.
- Supervise faculty, administrative staff, and support staff.
- Prepare academic calendars, timetables, workload distribution, and departmental activities.
- Ensure smooth functioning of classrooms, laboratories, library, and clinical training.

Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory norms of INC, KSNC, RGUHS, and government regulations.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, accreditation processes, and documentation.
- Maintain all mandatory records and institutional documentation.

Student Development
- Promote discipline, ethics, and professional conduct among students.
- Address student grievances and support mentoring and counselling initiatives.
- Encourage participation in seminars, workshops, conferences, outreach activities, and extracurricular events.

Clinical Coordination
- Coordinate with affiliated hospitals for clinical postings and internships.




- Ensure quality clinical exposure and effective supervision of students during training.

Human Resource Management
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff.
- Conduct faculty meetings and performance reviews.
- Identify faculty training and development requirements.

Quality Assurance
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and academic best practices.
- Support NAAC/NABH/NMC quality initiatives wherever applicable.
- Prepare institutional reports and performance reviews for management.

Institutional Development
- Contribute to admissions, branding, student enrolment, and institutional growth.
- Build collaborations with healthcare organizations and academic institutions.
- Support strategic planning and policy implementation.

Qualification
- M.Sc. Nursing in a recognized specialty.
- Ph.D. in Nursing is preferred.
- Must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC), and RGUHS for the post of Principal.

Experience
- Minimum experience as prescribed by INC/KSNC norms for the post of Principal.
- Prior experience as Principal or Vice Principal in a reputed nursing institution will be preferred.
- Experience in handling inspections, accreditation, academic administration, and institutional development is desirable.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
