Role Description The Principal of the Civil Engineering Association at NIT Raipur is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Raipur. The Principal oversees academic and co-curricular initiatives, guides the strategic direction of the association, and ensures alignment with institutional goals and standards. Daily responsibilities include mentoring association members, coordinating events, lectures, and workshops, and fostering collaboration between students, faculty, and external partners.

The Principal is expected to supervise planning and execution of technical activities, support research and innovation,



and encourage sustainable and ethical engineering practices. The role also involves administrative oversight, resource planning, and continuous improvement of association programs to enhance student learning and professional development.

Qualifications

Strong background in civil engineering or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated expertise in academic or qualified practice.

Experience in academic leadership, student mentoring, and coordination of departmental or association activities.

Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage events, workshops, and technical programs in an educational setting.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.

Commitment to promoting innovation, sustainability, and ethical standards in civil engineering education and practice.

Familiarity with outcome-based education, curriculum development, and continuous academic improvement processes is beneficial.

Postgraduate degree (M.Tech/M.E./Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with relevant academic or industry experience, is highly desirable.
