Role Description The Presales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune .

This role involves working closely with the sales team and customers to understand technical requirements, design suitable solutions using Ocular’s AI-powered manufacturing platform, and support the end-to-end presales process. Day-to-day tasks include conducting technical discovery sessions, preparing proposals and technical presentations, demonstrating platform capabilities, and coordinating with engineering and operations to validate feasibility and integration.

The Presales Engineer will respond to RFQs,



assist in cost and lead-time estimation, and provide technical support during customer evaluations and trials. The role also includes gathering customer feedback, contributing to product improvements, and ensuring a smooth handover from presales to implementation and account management.

Qualifications

- Solid presales and sales support skills, including solution design, proposal creation, and customer presentations.
- Technical support experience, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and guide customers through technical evaluations.
- Understanding of system and process integration in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Awareness of security principles related to digital platforms, data handling, and secure supply chain operations.
- Background in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or related engineering discipline (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).
- Familiarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, or other manufacturing processes is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple opportunities in parallel.
- Experience with AI-driven or SaaS platforms, digital supply chains, or industrial automation is an advantage.
