Role Overview We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with deep expertise in architecture, performance tuning, backup & recovery, high availability, and large-scale database environments.

Core Responsibilities & Skills

- Robust knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture
- Experience with logical & physical backups and restores
- Database upgrades (minor & major versions)
- Replication setup and point-in-time recovery
- Performance troubleshooting — locks, blocking, long-running queries, load issues
- PostgreSQL configuration parameters and system catalog usage
- Maintenance tasks — vacuuming, indexing, housekeeping
- Cloud deployments — AWS (RDS/EC2) or GCP
- High availability — Repmgr / Pgpool / EFM
- Managing multi-terabyte databases
- Ability to learn new technologies independently
- Strong cross-team communication skills
- Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical environments

Good to Have
- Python scripting knowledge
- SingleStore / MemSQL exposure
