Advertisement for Postdoctoral Fellowship Position The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering invites applications from enthusiastic and outstanding researchers for a post-doctoral fellowship. The candidate should be passionate about pursuing cutting-edge research leading to high-impact publications.

Number of positions: One

Duration of Fellowship: One year [extendable subject to conditions]

Responsibilities: Assist in research and submission of project proposal, publish high-impact papers, and optionally support teaching or lab activities

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in ECE/ EEE / Computer Science Engineering / Quantum Computing / Signal Processing / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Information and Communication Engineering or other relevant disciplines from premier institutes in the country.

Research Focus Areas:

- Quantum image representation and encoding techniques (FRQI, NEQR, QPIE)
- Quantum algorithms for image enhancement, filtering, and edge detection
- Quantum signal processing and quantum Fourier transform–based spectral analysis
- Quantum machine learning for image classification, segmentation, and pattern recognition
- Hybrid quantum–classical algorithms for denoising and compression of images/signals




- Quantum-inspired optimization for signal reconstruction and feature extraction

Desirable Qualification: The candidate is expected to have experience in quantum computing / quantum information processing / digital image and signal processing / machine and deep learning / soft computing algorithms, with a positive publication record. Required Skill Set: Qiskit / PennyLane / Cirq, MATLAB / Simulink, Python (NumPy, OpenCV, TensorFlow/PyTorch), quantum simulators and access to quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, etc.), and familiarity with FPGA/embedded implementation of signal processing algorithms.
