Job Title: Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer

Location: New Delhi

Experience Required:

● 4-15 years of experience in plumbing and firefighting design for building projects.

● Proven experience in MEP consultancy services / Building Design.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing & Firefighting Design Engineer Building Design with a strong consultancy background. The candidate will be responsible for complete design, documentation, coordination, and estimation of plumbing and firefighting systems for building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering:

● Prepare Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Drawings for plumbing and firefighting systems as per architectural layouts, client requirements, and project specifications.

● Design systems including:

● Waste, Soil & Rainwater Systems

● Water Supply Systems

● Sprinkler Systems

● Hose Reel & Hydrant Systems

● Fire Extinguisher Systems

● Perform hydraulic calculations and provide calculation notes as required.

● Prepare detailed tender drawings for plumbing and firefighting systems.

● Develop shop drawings for submission and resubmission.

● Prepare scale drawings and layout plans.

Estimation & Documentation:

● Prepare BOQ and quantity take-offs (sprinkler heads, pipes, sanitary fixtures, valves, etc.).

● Prepare design data, technical specifications, and material specifications.





● Develop project cost estimates and costing for bidding.

● Prepare material lists and assist in material submissions.

● Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and technical documentation.

● Prepare technical reports and installation documentation.

Coordination & Project Management:

● Consult with clients and internal consultants to determine functional and spatial requirements of MEP systems.

● Coordinate closely with Electrical, Mechanical (HVAC), Architectural, and Structural teams.

● Assist in planning project layouts and directing drafting activities.

● Prepare project schedules for design and construction phases.

● Prepare and submit progress reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).

● Support site execution activities and collaborate with supervisors.

● Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualification & Requirements:

● Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.

● 4-15 years of experience in plumbing and firefighting design for building projects.

● Proven experience in MEP consultancy services.

● Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NBC, IS codes, Fire Norms, etc.).

● Experience in BOQ preparation, costing, and tender documentation.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

● Robust coordination and communication skills.
