The company employs nearly 1,000 people and operates manufacturing and R&D; facilities across India, including a USFDA-approved API manufacturing facility, an export-oriented formulations plant, and R&D; centers supporting animal health, chemical, and pesticide studies.

Position Overview The Plant Head – API Manufacturing will lead the overall operations and performance of the USFDA-approved API manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the CEO , the role drives excellence in manufacturing, quality, compliance, engineering, supply chain, and people management while supporting business growth and current product commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end operations and performance of the API manufacturing facility.
- Drive operational excellence across Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, PPIC, and Administration.
- Ensure achievement of production, quality, compliance, cost, safety, and delivery objectives.
- Provide technical leadership for API manufacturing, including technology transfer, scale-up, and process optimization.
- Identify and evaluate new products for development and commercialization aligned with business goals.
- Ensure adherence to cGMP, USFDA, EHS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain inspection readiness and support regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.
- Prepare, monitor, and control operating budgets; drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams to ensure timely product deliveries.




- Lead a workforce of approximately 150–180 employees, including unionized staff, ensuring positive industrial relations.
- Develop talent, build succession pipelines, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with statutory authorities to ensure compliance, safety, and governance across the facility.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related discipline; advanced technical or management qualifications preferred.
- Experience: 20–25 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with significant exposure to API manufacturing for regulated markets.
- Leadership: Proven success leading a USFDA-approved manufacturing facility and managing cross-functional teams of 150–180 employees, including unionized workforces.
- Technical Expertise: Technology transfer, commercialization, process scale-up, regulatory inspections, and operational excellence in API manufacturing.
- Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and execution excellence.
