Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Piping Engineer for sourcing role based in the Pune Division. The role involves reviewing and interpreting piping design requirements, piping layout, piping calculation, sourcing of piping components from suppliers , supplier develop, purchase management , piping specifications, and drawings to support procurement and sourcing activities.

The Piping

Engineer will evaluate technical data from suppliers, perform basic calculations of piping layout, sizes, flow rate, pressure and stress checks, and ensure that piping components and assemblies comply with relevant standards and project criteria. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with suppliers , purchase related activities , piping project management, design, production, and procurement teams, preparing technical documentation and reports,



and supporting vendor selection and qualification. The role also includes contributing to cost-effective sourcing solutions, tracking delivery timelines, and maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications Robust technical skills in Piping Design and Piping systems, including familiarity with industrial hydraulic and fluid technology applications.

Capability to work with Pipe components ,like pipes, flanges , all welding technology for piping and layouts, including material selection and basic routing considerations.

Proficiency in performing engineering Calculations and basic piping layout selection and component s related to piping and associated equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, Min - 8 to 10 years of experience advanced coursework or certification in piping engineering is must.

expert of all ASME and ANSI standards related to process piping. expecting technical in-depth knowledge of Welding process, WPS ,PQR , welding fixtures , tooling , NDT and RT testing.

Experience in sourcing or procurement for engineering components, preferably in pipes , tubes , flanges , valves , welding products ,hydraulics, piping, or related industries.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications; familiarity with relevant codes and industry practices.

Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and ability to work accurately under time constraints in an on-site industrial environment.

Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
