Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically sound Physicist / Ballistics Specialist to join our team in Belgaum. The ideal candidate will have deep theoretical and practical knowledge of Projectile Motion, Classical Mechanics, and Ballistics (interior, exterior, or terminal).

We are open to hiring a fresh or experienced MSc Physics candidate for a Full-Time role, or an advanced PhD Physics candidate/graduate to join us as a Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

Trajectory Modeling: Develop, simulate, and analyze mathematical and computational models for projectile motion, flight paths, and aerodynamic drag.

Ballistic Analysis: Evaluate interior ballistics (propulsion/launch mechanics), exterior ballistics (flight behavior), and terminal ballistics (impact dynamics).

Data Simulation: Use computational tools (such as MATLAB, Python, or specialized physics engines) to predict projectile behavior under varying environmental conditions.

Testing & Validation: Collaborating with engineering or research teams to validate theoretical ballistic data against physical testing and experimental results.

Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation, physics-based reports, and performance matrices for product design/research iterations.

Required Skills & Competencies





Strong foundation in Classical Mechanics, differential equations, and fluid dynamics as applied to moving bodies.

In-depth understanding of drag coefficients, atmospheric effects, gravity models, and angular momentum in projectile trajectories.

Proficiency in computational programming or mathematical software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Wolfram Mathematica, or C++).

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with high attention to precision data.

Ability to work independently (especially for consultants) and present complex physics data clearly to cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile

Option A: Full time Role

Education: MSc in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related computational/engineering physics discipline.

Experience: 0–3 years (Freshers with strong academic projects or thesis work in mechanics/ballistics are highly encouraged to apply).

Option B: Consultant Role

Education: PhD candidate (ongoing or completed) in Physics with research focus heavily leveraging kinematics, ballistics, or aerodynamics.

Experience: Prior consulting or specialized academic research experience is a plus. Flexible engagement hours can be discussed.
