Role Description The PCB Designer Freelancer will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and optimizing PCB layouts for a variety of electronic products in a full-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day tasks include translating circuit schematics into manufacturable PCB designs, selecting appropriate components and footprints, and ensuring designs meet electrical, mechanical, and safety requirements.

The role also involves collaborating with engineers to refine circuit designs, performing design rule checks, and preparing documentation and fabrication files (Gerber, BOM, assembly drawings) for manufacturing partners. The PCB Designer Freelancer will monitor design iterations, implement feedback,



and support troubleshooting and design revisions as needed to ensure reliable, production-ready boards.

Qualifications

- Strong Circuit Design skills, including schematic capture and PCB layout for mixed-signal systems.
- Hands-on experience with Analog electronics, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and noise management.
- Solid foundation in Electronics and Electrical Engineering principles, with the ability to apply them to practical board designs.
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) design concepts, such as impedance matching, routing for high-frequency signals, and minimizing interference.
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or similar) and familiarity with industry-standard design rules.
- Understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, stack-up design, and DFM/DFT best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects remotely, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience; prior freelance or product-based PCB design experience is highly beneficial.
