Role Description The PCB Assembly Technician (SMD Soldering and BOM ITI) is a full-time role responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components on printed circuit boards, with a focus on surface-mount devices (SMD). This hybrid position is based in the Pune Division, with some work-from-home flexibility for documentation, reporting, and coordination tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting BOMs and assembly drawings, preparing components and tools, performing precise SMD and through-hole soldering, and using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly where required.

The technician will inspect boards for defects, perform rework,



and follow quality control procedures to ensure reliable, compliant assemblies. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, updating production records, and collaborating with engineers and supervisors to resolve assembly or design issues.

Qualifications

Robust proficiency in SMD and through-hole soldering, with steady hand skills and familiarity with industry-standard soldering practices.

Experience using hand tools and power tools for PCB and basic mechanical assembly tasks.

Knowledge of quality control procedures, including visual inspection, basic testing, and adherence to assembly standards.

Ability to read and interpret BOMs, circuit diagrams, and assembly instructions; ITI or equivalent vocational qualification in electronics or related field preferred.

Attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and commitment to workplace safety and ESD handling practices.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team setting.

Previous experience in PCB manufacturing, electronics assembly, or a similar production environment is an added advantage.
