We are seeking a dynamic Partnerships Manager to join our volunteer team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining relationships with our partner network to ensure the success of our event.

Role Overview The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing partnerships with organizations and individuals who can support our TEDx event. This volunteer position plays a vital role in ensuring the financial sustainability and overall success of our event.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with our TEDx event goals
- Identify and research potential partners and sponsors who align with our event's mission and values
- Create compelling partnership proposals and presentations
- Negotiate partnership agreements and manage expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners and sponsors before, during, and after the event
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure partner benefits are delivered effectively
- Maintain detailed records of partner communications and agreements
- Provide regular updates to the organizing team on partnership progress and challenges
- Develop and implement strategies to retain existing partners for future events

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in sales, business development, or fundraising (preferred but not required)




- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in creating professional presentations and proposals
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for the TED/TEDx mission and ability to articulate its value to potential partners
- Network of professional contacts in the local community is a plus

Time Commitment This volunteer position requires a commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per week, which may increase during key phases of partnership acquisition and event preparation.
