Role Description The Owner of Khelo India State Center of Excellence Haryana is responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and long-term vision for the center’s operations. This full-time, on-site role based in Recent Delhi involves setting organizational goals, approving key programs and budgets, and ensuring alignment with Khelo India guidelines and state-level priorities.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing performance reports, guiding senior management, overseeing compliance with regulatory and funding requirements, and supporting partnerships with sports federations, sponsors, and government agencies. The Owner ensures that athlete development pathways, coaching standards, and infrastructure plans are implemented effectively, while promoting ethical practices, inclusive participation,



and financial sustainability. The role also involves representing the center at high-level meetings, building stakeholder relationships, and making decisions that enhance the center’s reputation and impact.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated leadership experience in sports management, public administration, or organizational governance, with a track record of overseeing complex programs or institutions.
- Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills, including the ability to set long-term goals, allocate resources, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Experience working with government agencies, sports bodies, or non-profit organizations, with familiarity in public policy, compliance, and funding mechanisms.
- Financial acumen, including understanding of budgeting, financial oversight, and risk management to ensure organizational sustainability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with coaches, athletes, staff, officials, and community partners.
- Commitment to ethical governance, gender-neutral and inclusive practices, and the welfare and holistic development of athletes.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in sports management, business administration, public policy, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in high-performance sports environments or centers of excellence is an advantage.
