Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Output Editor with strong knowledge of newsroom operations and excellent editorial judgment. The candidate should have 5–8 years of relevant experience in the media/news industry and be capable of managing news output efficiently across television and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day news output and newsroom workflow.
- Monitor breaking news, developments, and updates from various sources.
- Prioritize news stories based on importance, urgency, and audience relevance.
- Edit and ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and presentation of news content.
- Coordinate with Reporters, Producers, Assignment Desk, Video Editors, Graphics, and Digital Teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of news stories, packages, tickers, visuals, and other content.
- Verify facts, headlines, captions, visuals, and other editorial elements before publication/telecast.
- Handle breaking news situations and ensure quick and accurate updates.
- Maintain editorial standards, newsroom guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Monitor competitor channels, websites,



and social media for important news developments.
- Work closely with senior editorial management on story planning and priorities.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the newsroom and production/output teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in Media / News / Television / Digital News.
- Strong practical knowledge of Output Editing and Newsroom Operations.
- Excellent understanding of news judgment, story selection, prioritization, and editorial workflow.
- Strong command of Tamil and English language is preferred.
- Good knowledge of current affairs and breaking news.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of digital news platforms and social media trends.
- Ability to handle multiple stories simultaneously with accuracy.
- Experience working in a 24×7 newsroom environment will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Candidates from News Channels, Digital Media, Newspapers, Publishing Houses, or other Media Organizations with solid Output Editor experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
