Role Description The OSD Packing Officer is responsible for overseeing packing operations for oral solid dosage (OSD) pharmaceutical products at the Baddi manufacturing site. This full-time, on-site role involves monitoring packing lines, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, and maintaining compliance with GMP and safety guidelines.

The OSD Packing Officer coordinates with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to manage batch packing, resolve line issues, and optimize line efficiency. Daily tasks include supervising packing staff, verifying labels and packaging materials, maintaining documentation and records, and supporting routine audits and inspections.



The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives related to packing processes, equipment utilization, and product quality.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of oral solid dosage (OSD) packing processes, pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, and familiarity with industry best practices.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory compliance requirements, and quality assurance procedures in the pharma sector.
- Ability to manage packing lines, supervise teams, allocate resources efficiently, and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
- Competence in maintaining accurate batch records, documentation, and inventory of packaging materials, with attention to detail and data integrity.
- Skills in identifying operational issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a rapid-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Diploma or degree in Pharmacy, Science, or a related field; prior experience in OSD packing in a pharmaceutical company is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Baddi and follow all safety, hygiene, and compliance guidelines as per company and regulatory standards.
