HGSI endeavours to become the nucleus for Hartree’s global enterprise functions including technology and engineering, accounting and financial reporting, treasury, operations, risk management, compliance, among other areas.
Position: Oracle HCM Technical Specialist
Job Summary
Location: Hyderabad
Position Type: Full-time, onsite. No hybrid work option.
Direct Reporting: HGSI Local Leadership team, Hyderabad
Functional Reporting: Global Head of HR Technology
Shift time (with flexibility to support other regions):
- UK Shift : 2 pm to 11 pm IST [4.30 am to 13.30 pm EST/ 9.30 am to 6.30 pm UK time]
Job Purpose:
The Oracle HCM Techno-Functional Specialist is responsible for the administration, configuration, support and continuous improvement of Oracle Fusion HCM. The role combines functional and technical expertise to ensure the system effectively supports global HR operations, maintains high-quality employee data and delivers efficient, compliant HR processes.
Working closely with HR, IT, Payroll, vendors and business stakeholders, the role supports system enhancements, integrations, reporting, data governance and Oracle quarterly releases while ensuring Oracle HCM remains the global system of record.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Oracle HCM Administration
- Administer, configure and maintain Oracle Fusion HCM Core HR and related modules
- Manage workforce structures, organisational hierarchies, workflows, lookups, flexfields and approvals
- Ensure system configuration aligns with global standards and business requirements
- Maintain the integrity of system configurations and workflows
HRIS Support
- Provide functional support to HR, managers and employees
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT, Oracle Support and vendors to resolve incidents
- Deliver user training, maintain support documentation and promote system adoption
Data Governance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR master data through regular audits and data quality initiatives
- Support HR Data Governance standards and maintain the HR data dictionary
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and ad-hoc analytics using OTBI, BI Publisher and HCM Extracts
Technical Support & Integrations
- Perform data loads using HDL and Spreadsheet Loader
- Support HCM Extracts and assist with system integrations, APIs and interface troubleshooting
- Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to ensure reliable integration with payroll and other business systems
Business Process Improvement
- Support the employee lifecycle, including hires, transfers, promotions, organisational changes and terminations
- Analyse business requirements and recommend system enhancements, automation opportunities and process improvements
- Prepare functional specifications and solution documentation
Projects & Release Management
- Participate in Oracle implementations, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support requirements gathering, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities
- Participate in Oracle Quarterly Releases, including impact assessments, regression testing and documentation updates
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain functional documentation, configuration workbooks, test scripts and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with governance, audit and data privacy requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing system evidence and documentation.
Requirements: education, competencies & skills
- Must have about 10-12 years of experience in similar role
- Strong Oracle HCM technical toolkit (HDL, Fast Formula, Extracts, APIs)
- Experience with middleware tools (e.g. OIC)
- Understanding of HR data models
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in global environments
