Role & responsibilities

- Oversee overall nursing administration and ensure smooth functioning of all clinical areas including OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, OT, and specialty units.

- Plan, organize, and supervise nursing services while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

- Manage nursing manpower planning, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, infection control protocols, and statutory requirements.

- Lead recruitment, orientation, training, competency assessment, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.

- Monitor nursing quality indicators, patient satisfaction, clinical documentation, and medication safety practices.

- Coordinate with medical consultants, quality team, HR, and hospital administration for seamless operations.

- Drive quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, accreditation activities, and patient safety programs.

- Handle emergency preparedness,



disaster management, and critical incident response.

- Develop and mentor nursing leaders while promoting continuous professional development.

Preferred candidate profile

- M.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing with valid Nursing Council Registration.

- 1218 years of experience in nursing services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role as Nursing Superintendent/Deputy Nursing Superintendent/Chief Nursing Officer.

- Experience in NABH-accredited multi-specialty or super-specialty hospitals (500+ beds preferred).

- Robust knowledge of hospital quality standards, infection control, nursing operations, and manpower management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and team management skills.

- Proficient in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Microsoft Office.
