The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer Backend Development, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure backend services that power our payment infrastructure and enterprise applications. You will collaborate with frontend, product, and security teams to deliver robust APIs, data processing pipelines, and secure data handling on Linux-based environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and PHP.
- Design RESTful and gRPC APIs for high-performance, scalable systems.
- Implement secure coding practices including input validation, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure data handling.
- Build and optimize data processing workflows and database interactions (SQL/NoSQL/Redis).
- Write automated tests (unit/integration) and participate in code reviews.
- Diagnose, profile, and optimize backend performance; implement caching and asynchronous processing where appropriate.
- Ensure secure deployments with proper secret management, auditing, and compliance considerations.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable, maintainable services.
- Document API designs, deployment processes, and data models for maintainability.

- 1–4 years of qualified experience in backend development with Node.js, JavaScript, Linux, and database technologies.
- PHP Laravel is preferable for existing project handling.
- Strong proficiency in PHP Laravel and Node.js; solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven design.
- Experience with building RESTful APIs and integrating with frontend services.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems and debugging/administration commands.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices for backend services (authentication, authorization, input validation, encryption, secure data handling).
- Experience with relational (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases; ability to design efficient data models and queries.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization concepts (optional but beneficial). • Good problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have (Optional)
- Knowledge of security testing and threat modeling.
- Knowledge of React and Java Script.
