About the Role

Viable Solutions is seeking an experienced New Relic Observability Engineer to design, implement, and optimise enterprise-grade monitoring solutions for our clients. You'll work across complex, distributed environments to give engineering and business teams full-stack visibility into application performance, infrastructure health, and end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Work independently end-to-end New Relic implementations: APM, Infrastructure, Browser, Synthetics, and Logs
- Design and build custom dashboards, NRQL queries, and alerting policies aligned to SLOs/SLIs
- Integrate New Relic with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct health checks, cost optimisation reviews,



and platform migrations (e.g., from Datadog, Dynatrace, or legacy APM tools)
- Provide client-facing consulting, training, and documentation on observability best practice

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years in observability/monitoring/SRE roles, with hands-on Current Relic experience (min 3 years)
- Strong grasp of distributed tracing, log aggregation, and metrics-based alerting
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider and container orchestration
- Scripting/automation experience (Python, Terraform, or similar) for observability-as-code
- Excellent stakeholder communication this is a client-facing consulting role
