Role Description The New Product Development - Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot, responsible for driving the design and development of new mechanical products from concept to production. Day-to-day work includes creating 3D models and detailed drawings, performing design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine design specifications and ensure manufacturability.

The role involves supporting research and development activities, evaluating materials and processes, and participating in prototype development, testing, and design validation. The engineer will work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams to resolve technical issues, optimize designs for cost and performance, and maintain documentation and design records. The position also requires clear communication of project status, timelines, and technical information to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles.




- Candidates should possess skills in Product Design and Product Development, including 3D CAD modeling, drafting, and design for manufacturability.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D;), including concept evaluation, prototyping, and testing of new products.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical work clearly.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline are preferred.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and familiarity with industry standards and tolerance practices is beneficial.
- Robust problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to design review and continuous improvement are advantageous.
- Prior experience in product development in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an added advantage.
