Position- IT Network Manager
Department/Section : Digital Energy Solutions, KSA
Reports To: Project Manager / Manager IT
Work Location : KSA

Objective
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Network Engineer to manage and maintain our network infrastructure both at the central office and across various remote sites in Saudi
Arabia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial automation systems,
including PLC and SCADA networks, and will be responsible for verifying system architecture,
performing network configurations, and ensuring optimal performance of automation systems.
As per the business unit’s strategy, the projects and operations would range from PV IPP renewal energy (Automation), Transmission and Distribution Control Rooms, Integration of various Renewable energy through EPMS / HEMS, ECMS (greenfield and brownfield) projects at various technology maturity levels (basic functionality to advanced functionality). These projects could cover a multitude of geography.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure of office area as well as LAB
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues along with providing IT support to team
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices and make LAB arrangements ready inline with system architectures for respective projects
- Maintain documentation of network architecture and configurations
- Conduct site visits to verify system architecture and network layouts
- Inspect and configure PLC/SCADA automation networks as well as supervise Vendor IT team works & validate the configurations
- Perform diagnostics and resolve connectivity issues in industrial environments
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and training to site personnel
- Plan and implement network security measures, including firewalls, Switches, Routers, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access control policies
- Manage and maintain VPNs and secure remote access for field teams and remote sites
- Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate IT and OT networks.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of SCADA servers, HMIs, and PLC communication networks
- Troubleshoot communication issues between field devices and control systems
- Assist in commissioning and testing new automation systems and network components
- Generate regular reports on network performance, uptime, and incident response
- Maintain logs of network changes, incidents, and maintenance activities
- Participate in planning and execution of network-related projects at recent or existing sites.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for hardware installation and support.
- Review and validate network designs and documentation provided by external partners.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, topologies, and procedures.
- Provide training and technical guidance to junior engineers and site technicians.
- Create user manuals and SOPs for network and automation systems.
- Ensure all network installations and configurations adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Follow safety protocols during site visits, especially in hazardous or industrial environments.
- Conduct risk assessments for network changes and field deployments.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Networking & IT related domain
- Experience in network engineering, preferably in industrial or automation environments.
- Strong knowledge of Ethernet switches, Routers, Firewall and other related IT Hardware.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, ACL and network security protocols.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network schematics.
- Willingness to travel extensively across KSA.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in industrial networks.
- Good understanding of network topology, industrial protocols, and basic cybersecurity practices
- Familiarity with solar power plant hardware systems is a plus
- Experience with test instruments: multimeter, LAN tester, oscilloscope, signal simulators, etc
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and SLDs
- Proficient in MS Office, documentation, and test log preparation
- Familiarity with factory automation test environments
- Good coordination skills to work with design, QA, and project teams
- The job requires working at Site / Lab / Office in Riyadh.
- On needs basis must visit Sites in KSA & Middle East for testing, commissioning & installation.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Academic Qualification and Required Experience
Must-to-Have: Bachelor’s degree in engineering – CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, Mech, Civil, or related field
Relevant years of Experience: 15+ Years
