Role: Network Migration Engineer – Cisco Nexus & VXLAN/EVPN

Location: Hyderabad

We are hiring a hands-on Network Migration Engineer to support application migration activities within a controlled BFSI data-centre environment.

This is an execution-focused role—not an architecture or network-design position. The engineer will implement network flows and migration changes by strictly following approved Low-Level Designs, Methods of Procedure, change records, migration plans, and rollback procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute network changes required for application and infrastructure migrations.
- Configure and validate Cisco Nexus switches running NX-OS.
- Implement and migrate VXLAN/EVPN environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VRFs, Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, and BGP.
- Perform pre-migration checks, change execution, post-migration validation,



and rollback when required.
- Participate in planned migration and maintenance windows.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, reachability, and performance issues during migrations.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, security, and change-management teams.
- Maintain accurate implementation records, validation results, and migration documentation.
- Follow BFSI security controls and enterprise change-governance processes.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches and NX-OS.
- Proven implementation or migration experience with VXLAN/EVPN.
- Strong understanding of VLANs and VRFs.
- Sound knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching.
- Practical experience with BGP, particularly in EVPN environments.
- Experience executing production network changes using approved LLDs, MOPs, change records, and migration plans.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise or data-centre networks.
- Ability to work accurately during controlled migration and maintenance windows.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in BFSI or other highly governed enterprise environments.
- Previous experience in data-centre or application migration projects.
- CCNA, CCNP Data Center, or equivalent networking certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Significant: Candidates with only theoretical exposure to VXLAN/EVPN or general routing and switching experience without hands-on Cisco Nexus migration experience may not be suitable for this position. Interested candidates should apply with an updated CV clearly mentioning:
