Consultant Nephrologist

Qualification

- DM Nephrology

Registration

- Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

- Experienced candidates preferred
- Candidates should be capable of independently managing Nephrology OPD, IPD, ICU, and Dialysis services

---

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Nephrology OPD consultations and manage IPD patients
- Diagnose and treat Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Glomerular Diseases, Electrolyte Disorders, and Hypertension
- Manage Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and critically ill renal patients
- Evaluate and manage patients for Kidney Transplant work-up and post-transplant follow-up (where applicable)
- Perform Nephrology procedures such as Temporary & Permanent Dialysis Catheter Insertions and Renal Biopsies as per expertise
- Coordinate with ICU, Urology, Critical Care, and other specialties for multidisciplinary patient management
- Counsel patients and families regarding kidney disease, dialysis, transplantation, and preventive care




- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, dialysis records, and discharge summaries
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH standards, infection control, and patient safety guidelines
