Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled MPI Operator (Magnetic Particle Inspection) to perform magnetic particle inspection of components to identify surface and near-surface defects. The candidate should have practical experience in MPI/NDT inspection, interpretation of inspection results, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) on components as per approved inspection procedures.

· Prepare and clean components before conducting MPI.

· Conduct dry and/or wet magnetic particle testing as required.

· Identify and evaluate surface and near-surface discontinuities such as cracks, laps, seams and other defects.

· Ensure proper magnetization, particle application and inspection conditions.

· Interpret MPI indications and distinguish relevant indications from non-relevant indications.

· Mark and segregate defective components according to inspection requirements.

· Maintain accurate inspection reports, rejection records and test documentation.

· Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

· Follow approved NDT procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.

· Coordinate with Quality, Production and other departments regarding inspection results.





· Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the inspection area.

Required Skills

· Practical knowledge of Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI/MPT).

· Knowledge of NDT inspection methods and procedures.

· Ability to identify and interpret MPI indications.

· Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and component specifications.

· Knowledge of inspection instruments and MPI equipment.

· Valuable documentation and reporting skills.

· Knowledge of quality and safety procedures.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Certification

· ASNT / PCN / ISO 9712 Level I or Level II – MT/MPI preferred.

· Relevant NDT certification will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile

· Hands-on experience in MPI/NDT inspection, preferably in a manufacturing, forging, foundry, machining or automotive component industry.

· Good observation and analytical skills.

· Willingness to work in shifts if required.

· Candidates with relevant industrial experience will be preferred.
