Expected Education

- Master's degree in Health Economics, Statistics, Development Economics, Public Health, Population Studies, or any other relevant field with a strong background in research methods.
- A PhD in any of the above or a related field will be preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

- At least five years of relevant professional work experience, including a minimum of two years of involvement in health/social data monitoring and in conducting and managing evaluation and research projects and programs.
- Positive understanding of technical methods employed in Research and Evaluation (R&E;), including:

- Overall study design

- Sampling approaches

- Sample size calculation
- Data collection methodologies (e.g., reliability, internal/external validity, and bias)
- Knowledge of writing high-quality:

- Research papers

- Concept notes

- Terms of Reference (ToRs)

- Research protocols

- Inception reports

- Final reports
- Proficient computer literacy, particularly in:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
- Statistical software such as SPSS, STATA,



or R

- Develop research objectives and design research projects and proposals.
- Contribute to producing high-quality and diverse research outputs for various audiences, including analyses, reports, and presentations.
- Establish and strengthen quality research processes by monitoring research quality assurance through standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and guidance documents.
- Contribute to identifying and synthesizing good practices and lessons learned in monitoring and evaluation (M&E;), research, and program implementation.
- Establish and strengthen research partnerships with renowned research institutions.
- Build the capacity of the research team and conduct training across divisions on research study design and implementation.
- Promote a culture of high-quality research within NHA.
- Support and assist in any other activities or assignments as required.
