- Relevant experience in conventional or universal milling machine operations

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator with experience in heavy engineering manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for operating milling machines to machine industrial valve components as per engineering drawings while ensuring quality, accuracy, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate conventional/universal milling machines for machining valve components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Perform milling operations such as face milling, slot milling, keyway cutting, drilling, and surface machining.
- Set up workpieces using appropriate fixtures, clamps, and vices.
- Select and install suitable cutters, tools, and inserts based on machining requirements.
- Measure machined components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, dial gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and required machining tolerances.




- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine issues, tool wear, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow SOPs, ISO/API quality standards, safety guidelines, and 5S practices.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of conventional/universal milling machine operations.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand machining tolerances.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, milling cutters, feeds, and speeds.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Understanding of safe machine operation and quality requirements.
