Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize MES applications across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless communication between production equipment, PLCs, SAP, and MES systems while monitoring production performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting end users.

Key ResponsibilitiesMES Operations & Support

- Monitor and support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MES-related issues in a timely manner.
- Analyze production data, job orders, alarms, and system events through MES dashboards and web portals.
- Support MES deployments, configuration changes, and system enhancements.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and IT teams for issue resolution.

User Administration
- Create, modify, disable, and reset MES user accounts.
- Assign and manage user roles and permissions using the MES Admin Console or Active Directory.
- Ensure compliance with security and access control policies.

Database Management
- Use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to:
- Execute SQL queries.
- Validate production records.
- Verify MES transaction data.
- Perform data analysis and troubleshooting.




- Support database integrity and maintain accurate production records.

System Monitoring
- Monitor Windows Services related to MES.
- Use Windows Event Viewer to analyze application and system logs.
- Verify MES background services are operational using Services.msc .
- Identify and escalate infrastructure-related issues.

SAP Integration Support
- Verify successful synchronization between SAP and MES.
- Monitor production orders, confirmations, material movements, and master data interfaces.
- Coordinate with SAP functional teams to resolve integration issues.

Shop Floor Connectivity
- Verify machine connectivity with MES.
- Work with PLC systems to troubleshoot machine communication issues.
- Monitor machine data flow between equipment and MES.
- Support production line integration activities.

OPC & Middleware Support
- Understand and support OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) communication.
- Monitor middleware responsible for data exchange between PLCs and MES.
- Ensure reliable and secure communication between shop floor equipment and enterprise systems.

MES Process Flow Understanding Maintain knowledge of MES architecture, including:
- Shop Floor Equipment

- Maintain incident logs and troubleshooting documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1–5+ years of experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience with manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Electronics, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, or Process Industries.
- Basic understanding of industrial automation and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of ERP–MES integration is preferred.
