Role Description The Medical Chart Reviewer is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and abstracting clinical data from medical records to support ongoing and planned clinical research studies. In this full-time remote role, the Medical Chart Reviewer will assess charts for eligibility criteria, identify key clinical endpoints, and ensure data accuracy and completeness in alignment with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include verifying diagnoses and treatments, documenting relevant patient history, entering and validating data in electronic systems, and communicating with clinical teams to clarify medical information.
The role also involves maintaining confidentiality of patient information, adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and contributing to continuous improvement of data quality processes.
Qualifications
- Solid clinical knowledge base with experience interpreting medical records, diagnoses, procedures, and laboratory results
- Experience in clinical research, medical chart abstraction, or health information management, with understanding of study protocols, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and GCP.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical data entry tools; ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills to identify relevant data and resolve discrepancies accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinicians, research coordinators, and project teams in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a full-time remote setting.
- Commitment to patient privacy, data security, and adherence to HIPAA and other applicable regulatory standards.
- MBBS degree required
